COVID-19: Cosmopolitanism's Criticism and Proposals

Covid-19 merits a scientific examination from cosmopolitanism, widely acknowledged, global-nuanced thought. During the pandemic, strong stances of nationalism and xenophobia have been taken, leaving little room for global cooperation in countering virus, recognition human rights has ebbed. Since this reality is opposed to its ideational normative essence, cosmopolitanism offers criticisms proposals. By diving into cosmopolitan way thinking, study criticises rise 'health nationalism' state policies as well manifested through blaming people Asian—particularly Chinese—heritage viral outbreak. Regarding proposals, two suggestions: 1) international society must opt endorse integration multilateralism, 2.) countries should avoid exclusionary health programmes commit solidarity-based countermeasures. The underlying arguments are backed by application library research qualitative methods.
